A place to sit.
One day I’ll own a house. In this house I’ll have a place to sit. It will be different from all the other places to sit in my house. It will be my place to sit. Not yours. Although, if you ask nicely, I might let you have a go. My place to sit will be hidden in a corner. Or hidden away from all the other places where stuff is done in my house. I would like another place to sit that would be by a window, that would be my more sociable, summertime place to sit. I really do feel like I can be greedy when talking about places to sit in my house. I recently sat in a nook surrounded by towering cases of books. It featured a VERY comfy chair, and some well positioned lights, and I thought to myself “I have to get me one of these”. There would be perhaps a touch more room in my own one of these. Perhaps I’d have the company of a cat? Or a jolly dog, if it promised not to smell and stink my place to sit out. Or bark. I will control all noise in my place to sit. I’ll read. Not that I read a huge amount at the moment, but it’s something I aspire to. I am so going to read in my place to sit. I’ll check e-mails and things on my laptop. But my laptop will by no means take center stage in my place to sit, it’ll know it’s place! I’ll do so many great things in my place to sit. It won’t just be about sitting, although I’ll mostly be sitting when all this stuff happens.
I’ll have the greatest naps.
My house will also feature a room with an eff off massive television, DVDs and an impressive sound system, but these things will be kept away from my place to sit.
Man, I’m looking forward to having a place to sit.
